Impromptu session with Shamisen (三味線), a Japanese stringed instrument, using MSP pickup! You can hear the shamisen sound even in the overwhelming electric sounds. It seems that MSP pickup is attached on the backside of the shamisen body. The installation is just only sandwiching the skin with magnets. With an MSP pickup and and an amp, an acoustic instrument sounds clear even in a band performance. ---------------------------- Since this can be plugged in to an amp thru effect pedals, the sound is adjustable by using compressor/EQ. Probably you need to use that to get better sound on this instrument anyways.
